Why?

The gap between artist and audience is growing wider every day. Pink Floyd called it "The Wall", refering to the alienation they felt to their concert audience. I`m talking about the gap between the artist and the record buyer. This bridge has been traditionally filled by international record companies, who had their own agendas and "bean counters" who decided what was worthy to sign or not. Green Pole Records was established to help create a more direct link between the song and the listener.

My goal is to make music and records that are not coloured by fads or fashion, but by the human behind the song or the soul behind the voice.

They say that one man`s music is another man`s noise, so to sum it all up; Green Pole Records = Noise! - Leif Johansen
